Wildlife Conservation Society of Tanzania (WCST) was registered in 1987 under CAP 337 as a membership-based Non-Governmental Organization mandated to operate in Mainland Tanzania. Since 18/07/2019, the Society is registered under terms and conditions of Non-Governmental Organizations Act, 2002. WCST is one of the oldest local NGO which has an outstanding experience in conducting community, conservation and environmental management projects. The Society has an extensive network of Professional and Non-Professional members distributed within and outside the country.

African Parks is a non-profit conservation organisation that takes on the complete responsibility for the rehabilitation and long-term management of national parks in partnership with governments and local communities. We currently manage 16 national parks and protected areas in 10 countries covering almost 11 million hectares: Benin, Central African Republic, Chad, the Democratic Republic of Congo, Malawi, Mozambique, the Republic of Congo, Rwanda, Zambia and Zimbabwe.

NEST mandate is limited to matters related to the environment and sustainable development, primarily in Nigeria but with general global interest.
It specifically includes:
- Participating in and promoting research and publications on the environment and sustainable development,
- Striving to influence policy to secure the sustainable use of environmental resources,
- Raising public awareness of environmental and sustainable development issues, and
- Supporting popular action on the environment
SEI Africa is based in Nairobi, Kenya and is hosted by the World Agroforestry Centre. The centre collaborates with African governments, organizations and networks, acting as a hub for SEI’s engagement across the continent. The centre’s work focuses on four key areas: energy and climate; natural resources and ecosystems; sustainable urbanisation; and health and environment.
From its establishment in August 2008 until June 2013, SEI Africa was based at the Institute of Resource Assessment at the University of Dares Salaam. Mount Kenya Environmental Conservation is Non Governmental Organization registered and working in Kenya since 2015. The organization started as a self-help group called Save Mount Kenya Forest from Extinction group in 2007 consisting of youth who came together to rehabilitate part of Mount Kenya forest which over the years had experienced massive deforestation. Beside rehabilitation of Mount Kenya forest, the other goals and objectives was to promote farm forestry so that community members stop relying on the forest for products. Also our organization was involved in many activities like ; community sensitization on the importance of conserving mount Kenya forest and reporting all illegal activities taking place inside the forest. Trainings focusing on ; tree nurseries establishment and managements, transplanting of tree in the forest, site preparation and after planting management which included weeding and protection from animals were also undertaken. Community empowerment which was geared towards improving community livelihoods through value addition to products grown on farms and also planting beneficial trees which improve milk and meat production were done hand in hand with various Government Ministries like Ministry of Agriculture and Livestock Development and Kenya Forest Service. Greening schools programmmes aimed instilling knowledge of conservation to young children was also undertaken where by seedlings were donated to schools and planted by school pupils.

The Kibale Chimpanzee Project, established by Dr. Richard Wrangham in 1987, is a long-term field study of the behavior, ecology, and physiology of wild chimpanzees. Our researchers and field staff conduct daily behavioral observations on a group of approximately 60 chimpanzees in the Kanyawara region of Kibale National Park, southwestern Uganda. This research contributes to our understanding of primate behavioral diversity, human evolutionary ecology, and chimpanzee conservation. On a daily basis, KCP field staff and researchers collect data on chimpanzee social behavior, party composition, ranging, feeding, and health. These observations are supplemented by collection of specialized data, including detailed records of play, tool use, hunting, aggression, and forest phenology. We also conduct non-invasive urine sampling, for hormonal analysis, and fecal sampling, for genetic studies.
The Northern Rangelands Trust is a community conservancy membership organisation. Our mission is to develop resilient community conservancies, which transform people’s lives, secure peace and conserve natural resources.

BORDA (Bremen Overseas Research and Development Association), founded in 1977, is a civil society expert organization focused on the provision of essential public services.
In 2006, BORDA started operating in Africa through cooperation with TED (Technology for Economic Development), a Lesotho based NGO.

Our countries of operation — Lesotho, Mali, South Africa, Tanzania and Zambia — are characterised by urban migration and rapid urbanisation. The Foundation is a vehicle through which KTDA Holdings and its subsidiaries carry out corporate social investments (CSI). The Key objective of the Foundation is to initiate interventions that improve the welfare of small holders’ tea farmers in Kenya through strategic partnerships in areas of education, health, economic empowerment and environmental conservation.
